Playing the blinds at Poker Holdem

Playing theblinds at Poker Holdem

The blind bets at Poker Holdem are a vital part of the betting structure and completely changethe way is played in relation to traditional draw poker. In traditional draw poker a player can fold every weak hand that they are dealt, and play only the strong ones and only needs to pay the antes. The blind bets rule forces players to come into the game more often, because if they don't having to pay the "blinds will eventually wear away their chip stack.

Each game of Holdem Poker starts with the antes and the blinds being declared,  and as the game progresses the blinds are increased, forcing players to take part in hands

As the game starts the small blind is always posted by the player to the left of the dealer button (clockwise) followed by the big blind. The small blind is always half of the value of the big blind, with the big blind is regarded as the minimum bet in limit poker.
