Erick Lindgren 
Erick Lindgren is often mistaken for a Scandinavian because of his blond hair and clean cut good lucks, but he is Californian born and bred. Erick came on the Holdem Poker scene in the early days of the online revolution, although most of his experience was gained in live casino settings. Erick's careeras a poker player began in a round-about fashion. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Lindgren had never played the game as a child and not even in his teens, instead being an avid sports fan, playing in a wide range of sports, including in basketball, American football and baseball. Erick Lindgren had a dream to become a professional sportsman, although he put his plans on hold as he went off to College to pursue a more academic education. Despite that fact, Erick was determined to complete his degree, more to not disappoint his family than anything else, he later admitted Lindgrendecided that he would pay for his cost of study by becoming an online poker professional and the facts paced online action he was hitting proved to him that he had the skills and the stamina to make it big on the Holdem Poker circuit, both online and in live tournament play. After playingonline almost full-time for nearly five years, and without ever managing to complete his studies, Lindgren decided that the time was right to move to Las Vegas in 2002. He got off to a flying start winning the famous Bellagio Five Diamond Poker Classic and the almost quarter of a million dollar prize that went with it. Every year after, Erick Lindgren has succeeded at either taking down a major tournament prize or being at the final table at a major event. Lindgren is now firmly established as leading player and familiar face on the Poker Holdem circuit, a far cry from his days as a sports fanin rural California. |
