Following the same rules as standard tournaments, Cashout Poker Tournaments provides players with the advantage of taking part in a Cashout Holdem Poker tournaments is that it provides the players taking part with the option of cashing out some and even all of their chips before the tournament winner is decided.

Cashout Poker Tournaments differ from standard Holdem Poker tournaments in that each buy-in is pre-divided between the regular tournament prize pool and what is known as the Cashout pool. Players sit down knowing that they are not only competing for a share of the tournament prize pool, but also can take up the option of cashing out some or all of their chips before the tournament has ended.

If a player decides that they want to cash out their chips, it can be at end stage of the tournament and even during a hand. The amount that can be withdrawn is calculated by the size of the buy-in against the size of the players current chip stack.

Many players like to take part in cashout tournaments because it gives them an easy get out at any stage of the tournament. Let's say that they are not doing so well, and they don't feel confident of their future prospects in the tournament. They can simply ask for a cash out, and the dealer will calculate how many playing chips that they have in the stack, and how much they started with, and calculate how much money the player is due to have returned to them from the cashout pool

The longer the player stays in the tournament and if their chip stack has risen, then their cashout pool will be higher. Many players choose the cashout option to take out a guaranteed profit from the tournament, or simply that they have run out of time.

Any money that is left in the cashout pool when the tournament is finished is transferred to the normal pay out pool is added to the main tournament prize and paid out to all players who are entitled to a cash prize proportionately.
